3-star ryokan near Shibuya with a private-use public bath

Amenities

Hotel Fukudaya provides a private-use sento (public bath) on the first floor that guests can lock from the inside for family or personal use. The hotel offers free coffee, tea, and chilled water in the lobby hallway. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, and staff can move luggage to the room before the guest arrives.

Rooms

Japanese-style rooms feature tatami flooring, futons, and shoji sliding doors with moonlight views. Rooms have air conditioning, a refrigerator, a TV, and free toiletries. Options range from rooms with private toilets and sinks to budget twin rooms with shared bathrooms.

Location

Hotel Fukudaya is a 10- to 15-minute walk from Shibuya Scramble Crossing and Shibuya Station. A bus stop is 30 seconds away with buses every few minutes to Shibuya Station. A Family Mart convenience store is 1 minute from the hotel entrance.

Public Bath

The single sento (public bath) on the first floor can be locked by guests for private use. The bath is a deep soaking tub with hot water that helps relieve tiredness. Showers are also available on the first floor and in dedicated shared shower rooms.

Family-Friendly Accommodations

Family rooms sleep three to four people on Japanese futons in a tatami-mat room. The lockable sento allows families to bathe together without separation by gender. Daily housekeeping is provided, and staff are known to fold guests' clothes left in the room.

“This hotel, a surprising find in bustling Shibuya, distinguishes itself with a thoughtful blend of traditional Japanese design and modern comforts; tatami rooms and shoji doors create a serene atmosphere, a world away from the city's frenzy, while well-appointed private bathrooms add contemporary ease. The attentive staff elevates the experience, readily assisting with everything from luggage shipping to late check-ins, making this a truly gracious and memorable stay. It's a quiet respite, well-located for those who appreciate a blend of culture and convenience.”

amazing stay in the heart of everything!

traditional vibe perfect home base great rooms
i loved that this hotel sits just outside the main business areas but is still super close. this made it my perfect home base for exploring! the building has such a traditional vibe, and the rooms were great too! i had a shared toilet and shower, i found it clean. the location is fantastic!!!
i wish there was an elevator. carrying my luggage up the stairs was a bit tough. but that's a small thing compared to how awesome everything else was.
